Full Sail LTD Lager Bottling Number 01

Highly Recommended

A truly wonderful surprise for lovers of hand crafted beer.  The PBN six-pack was the last in the store, and this beer has been on the market for a little while.  So, we strongly suggest you call your local shop ASAP to see if you can get some of this winter seasonal.

We are now anxiously waiting for Bottling Number 02 this spring.

Brewer Notes
Hops: Czech Saaz, Hallertauer
Malt: caramel, chocolate and wheat

Specs
Gravity: 16 degrees plato
IBUs: 26
ABV: 6.4%
Availability: Winter Seasonal

Tasting Notes
Aroma: A wonderful sweet, caramel-like aroma dominates the nose.  Somewhat peppery, presumably from the Saaz hops.  However, the hop aroma is generally perceived as very low.
Appearance: Copper color, wonderful clarity and an off-white creamy head with good retention.
Flavor: The malt bill in this beer provides a wonderful caramel, almost toffee, taste balanced nicely by a low bitterness.  The spicy hop character reminds me of the Noble Hops commonly associated with dark lagers.  Beer finishes clean and slightly sweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, low carbonation and a light alcohol warming.
Overall: This is a very good beer and I assume it is designed after the doppelbock style of beers, perfect for the cooler winter months and very easy to drink with a meal or on it's own.
